Therapy for Sexual Abuse
Experiencing sexual trauma can make you feel like your life has been disrupted and all was control taken away from you. You have done your best to cope but life isn’t the same. You’re finding that it’s not only the event(s) you struggle with but also the aftermath of it all. Processing sexual abuse in our therapy sessions will be gradual, paced, and careful. Choice will always be given to you and you will develop a sense of control. We will learn what it means to regulate in those times that feel uncontrollable. Surviving sexual trauma brings incredibly complex emotions. If and when you are ready, we will gently unpack in a therapeutic way.
